چکیده
A very large negative magnetoresistance (LNMR) is observed in the insulating regime of antiferromagnet ${\mathrm{BaMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{Bi}}_{2}$ when a magnetic field applied perpendicular to direction sublattice magnetization. high eventually suppresses behavior and allows reenter metallic state. This effect seemingly unrelated any field-induced phase transition, as measurements susceptibility specific heat did not find anomaly function fields at temperatures above $2\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{K}$. The LNMR appears both current-in-plane current-out-of-plane settings, Hall effects suggest that its origin lies an extreme sensitivity conduction processes holelike carriers infinitesimal canting LNMR-induced state may thus be associated with breaking antiferromagnetic parity-time symmetry by and/or intricate multiorbital electronic structure ${\mathrm{BaMn}}_{2}{\mathrm{Bi}}_{2}$.

متن کاملNegative magnetoresistance in Dirac semimetal Cd3As2
A large negative magnetoresistance (NMR) is anticipated in topological semimetals in parallel magnetic fields, demonstrating the chiral anomaly, a long-sought high-energy-physics effect, in solid-state systems. Recent experiments reveal that the Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 has the record-high mobility and positive linear magnetoresistance in perpendicular magnetic fields. However, the NMR has not ye...
متن کاملNegative Magnetoresistance in Amorphous Indium Oxide Wires
We study magneto-transport properties of several amorphous Indium oxide nanowires of different widths. The wires show superconducting transition at zero magnetic field, but, there exist a finite resistance at the lowest temperature. The R(T) broadening was explained by available phase slip models. At low field, and far below the superconducting critical temperature, the wires with diameter equa...
متن کاملLarge negative magnetoresistance and strong localization in highly disordered electrospun pregraphitic carbon nanofiber
A highly disordered pregraphitic carbon nanofiber with the product of its quasi-Fermi wave vector and mean free path close to 1 was fabricated using electrospinning technique. Strong localization made the conductivity vary with temperature as σ [proportional to]Τ-1/2 from 300 to 5 K, suggesting variable range hopping as the conductivity mechanism, and resulted in a large negative magnetoresista...
متن کاملNegative spin polarization and large tunneling magnetoresistance in epitaxial Co/SrTiO(3)/Co magnetic tunnel junctions.
We perform an ab initio study of spin-polarized tunneling in epitaxial Co/SrTiO(3)/Co magnetic tunnel junctions with bcc Co(001) electrodes. We predict a large tunneling magnetoresistance in these junctions, originating from a mismatch in the majority- and minority-spin bands both in bulk bcc Co and at the Co/SrTiO(3)/Co interface. The intricate complex band structure of SrTiO(3) enables effici...
